Lauren Alaina is a popular American Idol contestant from Season Ten. Her name is a beautiful woman who has an intense devotion to God. Growing up in Rossville Georgia Lauren tapped into her singing talent after her cousin was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The diagnosis convinced Lauren to pursue her dreams of singing. Scotty, who won American Idol in 2010, became close to Lauren during her time on the show. It was a good fit for them because they both had similar religious backgrounds. Lauren did not mind that Scotty had won and she was content losing to her best friend. She was kissing Scotty several times after the announcement was made to Proof of McLaina (a name given to Lauren and Scotty by their followers).
