Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He blends soul gospel jazz with R&B to create a unique blend. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway to the Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. Sunshine's name is Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta currently, she is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician singing and playing in the local church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was called Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan It has since been remixed by a variety of producers and has become a staple of her live set. The Fighting Temptations was the another soundtrack on which she sang. The band was hired as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals she asked Sunshine to be part of the Dreamgirls production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine came to national interest during four consecutive shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was then invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
