Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz - was born at Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents for the town where she was raised in. Michel Horowitz' father was editor and author along with Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is a self-described Jewish and descends from Ryder's Jewish father. The actress is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Her older sibling is Uria. Ryder's parents relocated her and her siblings into Mendocino County California when Ryder reached seven. They didn't have electricity. Ryder read a lot due to the absence of television. Ryder was enrolled in acting classes at the age of Ryder was twelve years old, in the American Conservatory Theatre. In the year she turned 15, Ryder landed her first part onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder was subject to bullying in high school. She hoped that her career in acting would alter the way she dealt with bullying. Unfortunately that didn't come to be. It didn't stop her from making plans for her future. Her breakthrough came in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder was able to continue her successful performances in several movies. In 1993 she received two nominations in the Academy Awards. One of them for her role as a character in The Age of Innocence.
